Last month, the call went out for countdown banner proposals for the upcoming release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on 29th April, 2010. These were my submissions:
I wasn’t surprised that none of them were chosen to be part of the official countdown banners set, although I was surprised that Mr Andrzejak’s first design—which was fun and attention grabbing—wasn’t, as I commented over at OMG! Ubuntu!
And I was again surprised when I received an email enquirying about modification rights. What I believe to be a Persian version of my final banner set can currently be seen at shayax.net.
