Microblogging finally has me in its grips. Well, sort of. I succumbed to creating an account on Thursday night, and yesterday morning I thought of something suitably unimportant to write as a first, unfollowed dent. The open-source angel on my left shoulder told me to go with Identi.ca, where my username is obfpen.

I still don’t know how I’m actually going to use it yet, but the upcoming site refurbishment should feature a dent or two as an aside—yes, I’m going HTML5, too (those times I just mentioned already are)—once I figure that out. At the very least, it’ll finally allow me to make full use of Ubuntu’s messaging menu, I suppose.
